Tour of the Month presented by Newport History Tours
Riots and rebellions, enemies and allies! Learn about Newport’s role in the American Revolution. Visit the Colony House, built in 1739 for RI’s colonial government this historic building served as barracks for the British Army and a hospital for the French troops. The tour includes the upstairs chambers and the Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington.
