‘Men’s 19th Century Fashions’: a Virtual Interview with Pinsent Tailor and Alex Zarlengo

March 24, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

On Thursday March 24, 2022 at 5pm, the Newport Historical Society will continue its virtual interview series with “Pinsent Tailor” Zack Pinsent and his partner Alex Zarlengo. NHS Executive Director Ruth Taylor will discuss men’s 19th century fashions with this fashionable couple. They will explore how 19th century men’s clothing can be just as over the top as women’s attire.

Zack Pinsent is a social media influencer who has gained international attention for his dedication to historical clothing as he wears bespoke Regency attire every day. Zack has been featured on the BBC, Vogue, and Elle, among other outlets, and he served as a 2020 Revolutionary in Residence at Colonial Williamsburg. Based in England, he operates Pinsent Tailoring crafting fashions of the late 17th through early 20th centuries. Alex Zarlengo, Zack’s partner, is a New York-based professional dancer and model. A graduate of Salve Regina University, he’s no stranger to the craft and dedication of creating beautiful clothing. He worked for Dior-schooled Designer Carmen Marc Valvo and, for three years, was a fashion journalist covering New York Fashion week for the London-based lifestyle publication “The Upcoming”.
