tricia E. Kane, Friends of American Arts Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Yale University Art Gallery, has been meticulously examining Rhode Island furniture in the NHS collection this week along with Jennifer Johnson, the Marcia Brady Tucker Fellow at the gallery. Dr. Kane is the Project Director for the Rhode Island Furniture Archive at the Yale University Art Gallery. Many pieces from the NHS collection are currently included in this online archive.
Dr. Kane and Ms. Johnson have been exploring objects for possible inclusion in a major upcoming exhibit about Rhode Island furniture at the Yale University Art Gallery as well as adding to the online furniture archive.
