The Newport Show Sets Fundraising Record in Support of Newport Historical Society and Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County
Weekend-long Exhibition of the Area’s Finest in Art, Antiques, and Design Has Raised $4.75 Million Since 2007
NEWPORT, RI — The 18th annual Newport Show, organized by the Newport Historical Society (NHS) and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County and held at St. George’s School, raised a record performance to benefit both the NHS and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. Since its inception, The Newport Show has brought in $4.75 million to the two nonprofit organizations dedicated to strengthening the local community.
“The Newport Show has become a perennial highlight of Newport’s summer season, featuring stunning displays and engaging donors who care deeply about our giving back to this community,” said Anne Hamilton, chair of The Newport Show and secretary of the Newport Historical Society Board of Directors. “We are incredibly grateful to our Sponsors, Founders, dealers, donors, and visitors who once again made this unique showcase an overwhelming success.”
The Newport Show began on Friday, July 25, with an exclusive Gala Preview Party, and continued through Sunday, July 27, with displays from nearly 40 dealers and galleries, including six first-time exhibitors. This year’s edition also featured an NHS-curated exhibit, “The Summer of ‘25: Sun, Sports, Spectacle,” which examined the defining characteristics of Newport’s summer season in 1925.
“The Newport Show makes the heritage of Newport and Aquidneck Island a tactile experience – history that you can see, touch, and feel” said NHS Executive Director Rebecca Bertrand. “I always feel a deep sense of community pride during the show, knowing the local impact this event has had over the past two decades.”
“We could not be more appreciative of the generous philanthropy that The Newport Show brings to our organization, alongside our partners and friends at the Newport Historical Society,” Board Chair Mary Lou Cavanaugh of the Boys & Girls Club added. “This event makes a tangible difference in the lives of Newport County’s youth.”
The Newport Show 2025 was sponsored by Audrain Hospitality, Corrigan Financial, Inc., Bank of America Private Bank, BankNewport, Horan Building Company, and Kirby Construction. Franklin & Company Design Associates and Meg Braff Designs served as presenting sponsors of the Gala Preview Party. Newport Lamp & Shade Company and Dekay & Tate interiors were supporting sponsors. Also supporting the event were media sponsors American Fine Art Magazine, Incollect Magazine, New England Home, and The Public’s Radio.
