Brick Market Campaign

Learn More about the Brick Market Campaign

The Museum of Newport History is located on Thames Street, in the heart of downtown Newport. This 1762 Brick Market building, which was designed by Peter Harrison and has a rich history as a center for city commerce, remains a highly visible and iconic architectural treasure.

A treasure that is ready to be transformed into the premier small museum in the region.

Inspired by our past and excited for a new future, the Newport Historical Society has an extraordinary vision for how this signature space will be reimagined. Now, the Museum of Newport History needs to be championed by leaders who are ready to protect Newport history and make it relevant and engaging for the next 30 years and beyond.
