Twas The Night Before Christmas was first read aloud on December 24, 1822 by Clement Clarke Moore (New York, NY., 1779- Newport, RI., 1863). The enchanting poem has earned the designation as being the most often recited, most published and most collected work in the library of English literature. This holiday season marks the 200^th anniversary of the poem’s creation.
